Deleting or Removing Access to Accounts on the Portal

Modified on Mon, 08 Jan 2024 at 01:32 PM

The process for deleting accounts from the portal will vary based on the type of consumer integration that you are using. See the difference below:

Direct API Connection

  • Delete accounts from your system of record as normal and this will delete from the portal. No other action is needed.
  • If you do not remove accounts from your CRM, ensure that the logic you have for the field AllowConsumerToAccess is mapped to know what statuses are allowed to access the portal.

Uploading a CSV File

There are two methods of uploading data files using CSV

  1. Full uploads with Purge - When this option is set, your will upload a full copy of your records each time. Any accounts that existed in the previous upload and not in the current upload will be removed

  2. Partial uploads - when this option is used, you are uploading only changed records each time. Unchanged records are not affected. When you utilize this method, there is no way to "remove" an account, instead, simply modify the account fields so that the consumer cannot access the account. You can set the following fields to false:
    • AllowConsumerToAccess
    • CanMakePayment
