How to Unlock a Consumer's Web User Account (With Video)

Modified on Fri, Feb 28 at 1:56 PM

During the new account creation process, consumers may sometimes attempt to create an account multiple times and end up locking themselves out. To unlock or reset their validation attempts, follow these steps:

  1. In the Administration site, navigate to the Web Users tab.

  2. Locate the consumer by entering their email address or associated account number and select Search Web Users.

  3. The Web Users screen will display the number of attempts the consumer has made to create an account under Web Login Information.
Note: Consumers have up to five (5) attempts before they are restricted from creating an account.

  4. Click the Bad Validation Attempts: (reset) link to unlock or reset the consumer's validation attempts.

The consumer's account is now unlocked, and their validation attempts have been reset to zero, as shown above. They can now try again to create or access their account.
