Email Scrubbing

Your email reputation is crucial to your business; therefore, email scrubbing is a critical component of all email campaigns. Sending to unverified emails, can result in bouncing and blacklisting.

Concepts2Code uses various systems to validate email addresses. Each address in an email campaign is validated BEFORE it can be sent. Emails that are determined to be invalid or should not be sent to will be blocked. The email validation steps are shown in the flow diagram below. The scrubbing process is in orange. When scrubbing emails, we will block emails that are determined to be invalid or should not be sent for other reasons.

When a campaign is approved, the scrubbing process begins. The entire campaign is scrubbed in a batch. Batch scrubbing means that all of the emails in the campaign are sent for validation at once. Because many mail servers respond in different amounts of time, the scrubbing process time may vary. For campaigns up to a few thousand, scrubbing usually is complete in under 15 minutes. Campaigns with 10,000 to 50,000 can take up to an hour. It is unusual for scrubbing to take more than an hour. Once all emails are scrubbed the sending will begin immediately.
