Attach PDF with Custom Password

Due to heightened security protocols there are times when documents must be password protected on the customer portal with strict password policies. The solution is to enable the Attach PDF with Custom Password feature that permits you to tailor the password based on your requirements such as a combination of the Consumers Date of Birth (DOB) and their Social Security Number (SS#). 


The Attach PDF with Custom Password requires that your system provide a custom password. The manner in which this is does depends on how your data is integrated or uploaded. When first utilizing this feature, contact Concepts2Code technical support. Once it is setup, follow the below steps to utilize this feature with email and letter campaigns.


Consumer Data Import Adjustments (only applies if you are importing CSV files)

  1. Create a set of unique passwords for each of your Consumers.
  2. Add a the [*CustomDocumentPassword] field to the Consumer data import files submitted to Concepts2Code.
  3. Import the file as usual.


Apply the Custom Password to Email/Letter Templates

  1. Go to the Emails/Letters Menu.
  2. Select the template you wish to adjust by clicking on the template name from the list.
  3. Attach the file., under Attachments.
  4. Adjust the Email Body of the email if applicable. 
  5. Select the Attach PDF with custom password option from the Attachment Options menu.
  6. Click Save or Save and Close.


Once the email has been sent to the Consumer with the password, they will receive an attached PDF that is password protected with the new custom password you created. 

Additionally, when they enter the Customer Portal and click to the view the document they will be also be prompted to enter the custom password, as shown below.

Default Setting for Unknown Address

If there is no address listed for reference to the zip code, the default zip code will be set to 00000. For example a Co-Borrower does not have their address listed. However, their Social Security Number is in the system. They would login with a password something like this 000001234
