Onboarding / DNS Configurations

Modified on Wed, 1 Nov, 2023 at 4:41 PM

Proper DNS configurations are critical to ensure optimum delivery and authentication of your emails. These settings allow email servers to utilize digital signatures to ensure your emails are valid. They provide the necessary information for other mail servers to verify your emails.

During the onboarding process, the system will create the DNS entries to be added to your domain. You may either add the DNS entries yourself or request that our support team add them for you. In general, only the owner of the domain has access to the DNS settings, so you may need to track down the proper IT contact to get this done. Once you have access to your DNS settings, our team can provide assistance.

Please note that DNS entries should never be modified by someone not familiar with their operations. All settings should be backed up prior to modifications. If you need assistance, our team can provide someone to work with your IT staff.

Ongoing DNS monitoring is built in to system. To view and confirm the DNS entries for your domain are entered correctly, click on Settings --> DNS Configuration. All required DNS entries for your domain(s) will be shown on that screen. If any DNS entries are not configured or are configured incorrectly, the entry will appear in red indicating a problem. These should be fixed immediately.
